Delete your Student Drive Log data
DevWorks LLC · Student Drive Log
Student Drive Log stores an account email address, the student-driver records you create (names, state, logged drives, and — only if you use the drive timer and grant permission — the GPS route of a drive), and the email addresses you enter to share a dashboard or send progress emails. You can delete this data at any time in one of the following ways.
-
Delete your whole account (in the app)
Open Account from the menu, scroll to Delete account, type the confirmation phrase, and confirm. This permanently deletes your login, every dashboard you own, and every drive and GPS route logged on those dashboards. It cannot be undone.
-
Delete a single student driver (in the app)
Open Manage Students, choose the student, and select Delete. That student and all of their logged drives — including any recorded GPS routes — are removed, along with the directory entry and any pending share invitations that named them. Your account and other students are untouched.
-
Ask us to delete it for you (by email)
If you can't sign in, email ian@devworksllc.com from the email address on the account and tell us you want your account and all its data deleted. We will verify that the request comes from the account's own address and complete the deletion within 30 days, then confirm by reply.
What is deleted
- Your account and authentication record
- Every student driver you own: name, state, and email
- Every logged drive: date, time, duration, road type, distance, skills
- GPS start points, end points, and route paths recorded during timed drives
- The hashed student-directory entry and any queued share invitations
- The local copy held in your device's browser storage (also cleared whenever you sign out)
What may remain, and why
- Drives logged by someone you shared a dashboard with stay on that dashboard if its owner is a different account. Deleting your account does not remove another person's dashboard.
- Your email address on a dashboard someone else owns. If another account shared a student with your address, that address stays listed until that owner removes it.
- A weekly-email opt-out record keyed to your email address is kept if your address still receives progress emails for a dashboard owned by someone else — so an opt-out you set is not lost.
- A non-identifying session record (a random token and a timestamp, with no name, email, or driving data) used to enforce one active login at a time may persist after account deletion.
- Routine backups may retain data briefly before they are overwritten on their normal cycle.
